Who is responsible for your data

The data controller is Tomasz Wiwała, Poland (tax number NIP 118-22-03-731). For data protection questions, email kontakt@benefilo.pl.

In short

Your answers (your children's years of birth, how you work, where you live, optional document expiry dates) stay on your device only. We do not send them to any server and we do not create an account.

We never ask for your National Insurance number, passport number, policy numbers or any health information.

Where your data is stored

In a browser, data is kept in that browser's local storage; in the mobile app, in the app's own storage. You can delete it at any time with “Delete my data from this device” on the “My deadlines” page, or by clearing site data in your browser or app data in your phone settings.

Calendar files (.ics) and phone reminders are created on your device.

Answers from an unfinished check are kept in session storage (sessionStorage) only until you close the browser tab or the app, so leaving halfway does not lose them. They are removed once your results are shown or your data is deleted.

Email reminders (when available)

If you sign up for email reminders, we process your email address and the deadlines you want to hear about, based on your consent (Article 6(1)(a) UK GDPR). You confirm your sign-up by email, and every message has an unsubscribe link. When you unsubscribe, we delete your address.

Technical data and cookies

The server that delivers the site keeps standard access logs (IP address, time, page requested, browser type) to protect it from attacks and fix errors, which is our legitimate interest (Article 6(1)(f) UK GDPR). The logs are deleted automatically after about 15 weeks.

We do not use cookies or third-party analytics. The site does not load fonts, scripts or ads from other services. Links to official websites lead to services with their own privacy rules.

We count visits with our own statistics tool (Umami) running on our server. It stores nothing on your device and does not store your IP address. It records the page visited, the page you came from, the type of browser, system and device, and the country derived from the IP address. This data cannot identify you, and we do not share it with anyone. We do this in our legitimate interest (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR): to know which pages are useful. If your browser has “Do Not Track” turned on, your visits are not counted. The mobile app has no statistics.

Who can access your data

Our server is rented from Contabo GmbH in Germany, which stores data only on our instructions under a data processing agreement. Data stays in the European Economic Area, which the UK recognises as providing adequate protection. We do not profile users or make decisions based solely on automated processing.

Your rights

You have the right to access, correct and delete your data, to restrict or object to processing, to data portability and to withdraw consent at any time. You can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO).
